What I love, is when an entrepreneur has a term sheet, or is up and running and profitable and then the investors come begging!! But when an entrepreneur really needs the cash to survive and grow the business they are no where to be found!

YUP!!! everyone loves to bet on the winning horse after the race has started!!!

Remember, their job is to make money for THEIR investors. (investors raise money too, and need to show profits) If they see a profitable company that doesn't need the money as bad, and is doing well, they is in high demand by other VCs, they want in!!

I get hardship stories all the time: the bank is about to foreclose, I'm gong to lose the business, I have no money left to run the corp, I'm on disability and a fixed income. While these stories are moving, and I wish them all the cash they need, VC's WONT TOUCH THEM. They are not in the business of helping to bail you out of debt. They are in the business of making money (for them, their shareholders AND the Entrepreneur!!!)
